Life Extension Esophageal Guardian Chewable Tablets, 60 Count

  • Alginic acid forms a gel and potassium bicarbonate produces bubbles that get trapped in that gel-producing a floating foam layer that sits above the contents of the stomach
  • This protective foam barrier develops less than a minute after two natural berry flavor tablets of Esophageal Guardian are chewed and swallowed
  • Blend of all-natural ingredients in Esophageal Guardian provides a totally unique approach to protecting esophageal tissue against harsh stomach acids

OK. Reflux sufferers. This really works. My tip to use this product most effectively is yes, use it at the time of a reflux episode to quell the symptoms but, if you have suffered from reflux for a while you will know that the stomach acid has eroded/damaged your esophagus, you should use it for a while. To give your body a chance to heal the esophagus I suggest taking this product after each main meal every day for a couple of weeks. That way the acid will stay out of the esophagus while it heals. I used it in conjunction w/ Mastic Gum (bedtime & first thing on waking) & D-Limonene (at bedtime). These products, along w/ using enzymes w/ each meal & a good probiotic twice daily, & drinking lots of water each day, healed my reflux. You may also want to use Candex (to kill any Candida in the gut), I did & many people believe that the Candida is a common cause of reflux. Seems like a lot of supplements to take I know but the alternative, using proton inhibitors & other conventional medicine, long-term, is very bad for our health in various ways. In my long experience the aforementioned regimen will heal or at the very least control your problem. I really hope that helps. I know how distressing, disruptive, painful & potentially dangerous long-term reflux can be.

The Doctor Doesn’t Always Know Best !!!, January 4, 2017

I have been using this product for approx. 4 months following 3 Gastroscopys (scopes down the throat). The first scope revealed severe esophageal and stomach damage caused by severe acid reflux. The doctor ordered a 90-day course of Nexium which I purchased for $190, but did not take. I chose instead to change my diet and take antacids and Life Extensions Carnosooth which did not work out well. My followup/second scope showed no improvement whatsoever in my esophagus or stomach lining, and the doctor was furious when he found out. Since my own efforts failed and I had already purchased the Nexium, I agreed to take the Nexium for 60 days and then have another (third) scope. This time the doctor looked like a genius since all signs of damage to both stomach and esophagus had been healed. He gleefully informed me that all I had to do now was take Nexium for the rest of my life and I’d be fine. But since I didn’t fall off the turnip truck yesterday, and I am an avid reader of Life Extension Magazine I knew enough to know that taking the drug forever would ruin my health. Thank God I refused!! Thanks to this product, Esophageal Guardian plus PepzinGI (sinc-carnosine), mastic gum, Gastro Ease, DGL Licorice and an occasional emergency antiacid my reflux is under control. My esophagus is fine and my stomach is much better with the mucosal lining partially healed & getting better each day. I just finished reading “Heartburn Relief Without Drugs”, the cover story on the just issued February 2017 issue of Life Extension Magazine which highlights the latest studies exposing the dangers of even short term use of Proton Pump Inhibitors such as Nexium, Prevacid and Prilosec.
